Dr Chong Siou Wei(張曉威) was graduated from the History Department of National Taiwan University (NTU, 1995.6). He received his M.A and Ph.D. in History from the National Central University (NCU, 1998.6) and the National Chengchi University (NCCU, 2005.6) respectively.He joined Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in December 2005, where he currently serves as Associate Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Chinese Studies.His teaching and research fields include History of Modern China, History of Chinese Malaysian, Malayan Chinese Society during the British Colonial Period, Hakka Cultural Studies and Minnan Cultural Studies.
